Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and enhance e-commerce initiatives by providing cost-effective customizable options for our clientele, ensuring a strong understanding of digital platforms and SAP to deliver integrated solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Directly manage the performance and goals of team members to align with the overall business strategy.
  • Streamline complex processes to ensure efficient organization of work and accurate calculation of standard hours for all discrete work packages within the custom shop.
  • Leverage commercial insight and knowledge of custom shop operations to sustain and enhance profit margins.
  • Promote maximum productivity and continuous enhancement of product build efficiencies and plant layout by establishing best practices, documenting standard procedures, and advocating for 5S activities.
  • Collaborate with production control, logistics, assembly, engineering, and parts teams to meet production demands, support growth initiatives, and enhance customer service.
  • Manage operations within the designated work area to synchronize production activities and adhere to production schedules.
  • Process and execute Engineering Change Notices for products to ensure designs are manufacturable as specified, with defined methods via routing, and that all time standards, process plans, work plans, and tool orders are accurately established.
  • Set time standards using approved industrial engineering methodologies for precise measurement of work performed and facilitate necessary approvals for integration into costing systems.
  • Deliver training, written guidelines, and standard work documentation related to products and critical processes to manufacturing staff to foster and maintain process capability.
  • Provide technical development and product support as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is necessary, including direct supervisory experience; manufacturing experience is preferred.

Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP is essential.
