Our West Cancer Center is equipped to offer specialized Radiation Oncology (RadOnc) services. We are currently seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to enhance our dedicated RadOnc team.

In this vital role, the Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients, ensuring precision and care.

Additional responsibilities include managing appointment schedules, creating custom molds, and collaborating with Radiation Oncologists in patient treatment.



Employment Type:
Full-Time, 40 Hours M-F

Compensation:
$43.04-$62.22 Per Hour** Final compensation will be based on a thorough evaluation of the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications, alongside internal equity considerations.

Job Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision, the Radiation Therapist will:
  • Administer and document radiation therapy treatments in accordance with the directives of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient treatment parameters within the electronic medical record system.
  • Engage in the clinical training of newly hired therapists and students.
  • Assist in the management of patient appointment schedules and ensure accurate billing submissions.
  • Prepare custom molds and cut blocks as required.
  • Conduct basic mu calculations and interpret computerized treatment plans.
  • Uphold a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy technology program is required. ARRT certification is mandatory, along with a valid state license for radiation therapy. Current CPR certification is also necessary.

Experience:
A minimum of three years of active practice as a Radiation Therapist is required.

Work Environment:

The work environment may involve exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions typical of an oncology/hematology clinic. The role will require in-person interactions with colleagues and management, as well as clients. Minimal travel by automobile to office sites may be necessary.
