At our West Cancer Center, we offer specialized Radiation Oncology (RadOnc) services. Our committed RadOnc team is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to enhance our patient care team.As a vital member of the RadOnc care team, the Radiation Therapist will play a crucial role in administering radiation treatments to patients.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with patient scheduling, creating custom molds, and supporting Radiation Oncologists in patient treatment.
Employment Type:
Full-Time, 40 Hours M-F
Compensation:
$43.04-$62.22 Per Hour. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications, along with internal equity considerations.
Job Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients.
Precision in positioning the radiation beam to align with the specified tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dosage are essential functions of this role.
Adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.Key Duties:
- Deliver and document radiation therapy treatments under the guidance of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
- Maintain accurate patient treatment records in the electronic medical record system.
- Participate in the clinical training of newly hired therapists and students.
- Assist in managing patient appointment schedules and ensure accurate billing information is submitted.
- Cut blocks and create custom molds as needed.
- Perform simple mu calculations accurately.
- Interpret computerized treatment plans effectively.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
Education:
Completion of an accredited radiation therapy technology program. ARRT certification is mandatory. A valid state license for radiation therapy is required. Current CPR certification is also necessary.
Experience:
A minimum of three years of active practice as a Radiation Therapy Technologist is required.

Physical Requirements:

The work environment may involve exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions typical of an oncology/hematology clinic setting.
