POSITION: Female Assistant Manager for Residential Services

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of a recovery program with ongoing participation in recovery activities.
  • Possession of a 'Class B' Driver's License, if applicable, with a satisfactory driving record. Ability to obtain the license within 45 days is acceptable.
  • Exhibit professional judgment and integrity in maintaining confidentiality regarding all beneficiary information.
  • No indication of current chemical dependency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the upkeep of facilities and grounds, coordinating necessary repairs and maintenance in accordance with guidelines set by management.
  • Provide ongoing supervision of residence operations, including training for staff in various functions such as customer service and safety protocols.
  • Manage outside contractors for special projects or repairs as needed.
  • Procure necessary supplies for the effective operation of the residence.

BENEFICIARY OVERSIGHT:
  • Orient new beneficiaries regarding residence requirements and program expectations.
  • Assign accommodations, including private rooms, following established procedures. Conduct random inspections as required.
  • Monitor and facilitate beneficiary activities, including medication management and group meetings.
  • Provide short-term crisis intervention and recreational programming for residents, fostering positive relationships.
  • Administer testing procedures as required by rehabilitation staff.
  • Ensure security protocols are followed during specimen collection.
  • Serve as a role model for beneficiaries, demonstrating appropriate behavior and personal presentation.
  • Complete necessary documentation in compliance with current policies.
  • Conduct security rounds each evening to ensure safety.
  • Organize regular fire drills within the residence.
  • Maintain order and discipline in accordance with established policies, taking appropriate action when necessary.
  • Assist in coordinating special events at the facility in collaboration with relevant management.

SCHEDULE:
Work schedules are determined by management, and employees must be adaptable to ensure adequate coverage. Full-time staff may be required to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The Salvation Army is committed to adhering to all governmental guidelines and contractual obligations related to health and safety measures, including vaccination requirements when applicable. Requests for exemptions on religious or medical grounds will be considered when feasible.
