We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Excel Residential Services, Inc. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a critical role in maintaining the daily operations of our residential properties, ensuring exceptional living environments for our residents, and supporting the Property Management Team in various aspects of property management.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the daily leasing of our residential properties, including maintaining occupancy, updating available rental units, and ensuring exceptional living environments.
- Support the Property Management Team in areas such as Tenant Relations, Maintenance Administration, Rent Collection, and Marketing/New Resident Identification.
- Perform apartment move-in and move-out inspections, greet prospective tenants, and take them on tours of the community and available units.
- Maintain traffic reports and follow-ups on all prospects, and help participate in resident functions.
- Enforce guidelines under the Fair Housing Act, update reports for the Property Management Team, and assist leasing consultants with training, motivation, and role-playing.
- Provide leasing support with follow-ups on leads through telephone inquiries and guest cards, and prepare weekly traffic/renewal status reports.
- At least two (2) years of prior experience as an Assistant Manager or Leasing Agent at a large apartment community/property (90+ units).
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing Rules and Regulations and Section 8/Housing Choice Vouchers.
- Proficient in YARDI and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- High School graduate.
- Assertive, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must project a professional appearance at all times.
