We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Excel Residential Services, Inc. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining occupancy, assisting with leasing, and supporting the Property Management Team in various areas.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in maintaining occupancy and updating lists of available rental units.
- Ensure the property provides an exceptional living environment for residents.
- Complete lease applications and assist with serving notices regarding rent increases and lease infractions.
- Perform apartment move-in and move-out inspections as scheduled.
- Greets prospective tenants and takes them on tours of the community and available units.
- Maintain traffic reports and follow up on all prospects.
- Help participate in resident functions and maintain guidelines under the Fair Housing Act.
- Update reports for the Property Management Team as required.
- Assist in supervising maintenance staff and perform routine physical inspections of the property.
- Provide leasing support with follow-ups on leads through telephone inquiries and guest cards.
- Prepare weekly traffic/renewal status reports.
- At least two years of prior experience as an Assistant Manager or Leasing Agent at a large apartment community/property.
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing Rules and Regulations and Section 8/Housing Choice Vouchers.
- Proficient in YARDI and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- High School graduate.
- Assertive, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must project a professional appearance at all times.
