Job Summary

The LPN Charge Nurse is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for making administrative decisions and supervising resident care in the absence of senior leadership. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to coordinate resources and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate resident care, ensuring high-quality services and cost-effective use of resources.
  • Participate in direct resident care as required, utilizing the nursing process and nursing standards to plan and provide care.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust) and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care and services.
  • Participate in shared nursing leadership to achieve positive outcomes, education, respect, dignity, and safety for residents and their families.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a well-lighted, ventilated, and air-conditioned area, with occasional exposure to unpleasant odors, sights, and sounds. Long periods of standing and moving around the unit are required, as well as the ability to lift or move 50 pounds independently.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN training program.
  • Demonstrated competence in the clinical setting.
  • Current LPN License in the State of Kentucky.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (successful completion within three months of employment).
