Position Overview:

The main aim of this role is to ensure precise pricing structures for all customers and products at The Ladders through comprehensive market analysis and internal pricing assessments. The individual in this position collaborates closely with the Pricing Director to devise strategies that support corporate goals related to margin improvement, customer and product segment optimization, and overall pricing and margin awareness.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct analyses to guarantee that the pricing of products and services remains competitive within the industry.
  2. Maintain historical pricing records for the organization and its competitors.
  3. Identify and elucidate pricing and margin patterns.
  4. Serve as a liaison between pricing and business units.
  5. Collaborate with Product Managers to understand all offerings and their respective markets to formulate appropriate pricing proposals aligned with marketing strategies and business objectives.
  6. Engage with branch and sales personnel to gather insights and assist in the development and assessment of alternative pricing frameworks.
  7. Examine the current pricing strategy to provide insights and identify areas for enhancement.
  8. Review contract pricing documentation to analyze adoption rates, trends, and opportunities for margin improvement.
  9. Update cost prices in relevant systems as vendor pricing information is received.
  10. Protect profitability by assessing net cost changes as pricing programs or individual prices are adjusted.
  11. Investigate vendor invoice discrepancies and determine their root causes.
  12. Act as a resource for the branch system and sales teams when inquiries arise regarding pricing, competitive challenges, and overall pricing strategy.
  13. Support Pricing Specialists in their daily tasks to provide backup during peak periods.
  14. Apply marketing strategies and pricing principles to establish prices for new offerings.
  15. Offer technical expertise and problem-solving capabilities to address concerns and maintain business continuity.
  16. Participate in special projects as required by the Pricing and Finance Departments.
  17. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Exceptional organizational capabilities.

Education and Experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred, ideally in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in Pricing or Financial Analysis.
  • Industry knowledge and experience are advantageous.
  • Advanced Excel skills are mandatory.
