Job Overview

Position: Architectural Sales Consultant (A&D)

Summary: The Architectural Sales Consultant will be instrumental in driving revenue and promoting our premium countertop, flooring, and hardscape solutions within the architectural and design sectors. This role involves cultivating and sustaining robust relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, and other industry stakeholders to enhance brand visibility, generate leads, and ultimately boost sales performance.

Work Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement a strategic sales initiative aimed at achieving annual revenue growth between $500k and $1M, while meeting both macro and micro sales objectives within the architectural market.
  • Identify and engage with prominent architectural firms, design studios, and other relevant entities to foster relationships that attract new clientele.
  • Proactively reach out to architects, designers, and specifiers to advocate for our products and services, ensuring our offerings are included in current and upcoming projects.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create tailored marketing materials, presentations, and product samples that resonate with the architectural and design audience.
  • Deliver comprehensive product training and educational sessions to architects, designers, and other decision-makers in the A&D sector, showcasing the advantages and applications of our extensive product range.
  • Monitor project opportunities throughout all development phases, working collaboratively with local and national sales and operations teams to ensure the successful execution of project objectives and timelines.
  • Maintain meticulous records of project specifications, requirements, and timelines, facilitating effective follow-up with contractors and stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to elevate brand presence, expand our network within the architectural community, and uncover future project possibilities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and challenges, adjusting sales strategies as necessary.
  • Exhibit strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Utilize analytical skills to review, analyze, and summarize various sales and market reports, identifying trends and measuring success.
  • Willingness to travel locally and occasionally nationally or internationally as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts, reports, and other documentation as requested by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales, particularly in the architectural products or building materials sector.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, and other industry professionals.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction processes, and project specifications.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and readiness to travel as necessary.

Compensation: Competitive salary range of $75,000-$125,000, commensurate with experience, education level, and performance-based bonuses.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position may require the employee to use hands for handling objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and communicate verbally. The employee may frequently sit and occasionally stand or walk.
  • Occasional lifting, pulling, and moving of up to 25 pounds may be necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
