Employment Status: Non-Exempt

Compensation Range: $38.91 per hour

Position Overview

Under supervision, manages the daily clinical and administrative functions of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists in formulating and executing practice policies aimed at enhancing operations and patient care services.
  • Develops and enforces protocols for collecting co-payments or outstanding patient balances at the time of service.
  • Supervises clinical administrative personnel by organizing schedules, delegating tasks, conducting evaluations, and facilitating training and development.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for the electronic medical record system, aiding providers and clinical staff in navigating records, resolving issues, and boosting efficiency.
  • Conducts orientation and training for new hires regarding office policies and procedures.
  • Manages administrative and clinical schedules for faculty members.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements, registrations, and professional memberships for faculty.
  • Ensures patient forms are current and updated as necessary.
  • Maintains compliance with regulatory training and certification requirements for staff.
  • Handles procurement activities related to necessary goods, services, and equipment.
  • Oversees disbursement and reimbursement processes as required.
  • Addresses patient and staff concerns, escalating complex issues to management and the Human Resources Department as necessary.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment, and reagents, placing orders as authorized and verifying delivery accuracy.
  • Ensures facilities and equipment are in optimal working condition, coordinating maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Assists in planning for coverage during employee absences due to vacation, illness, or personal leave.
  • Supervises the upkeep of examination rooms and patient waiting areas.
  • Participates in daily office operations by assisting with patient reception, registration, appointments, and other patient care-related tasks.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma required.
Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Approximately 3 years of relevant experience in an academic medical center.

  • Professional demeanor, including appropriate appearance and conduct.
