Position Overview:
NYU Langone Health is a leading institution in the field of medicine, dedicated to advancing healthcare through education, research, and patient care.

We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting the coordination of biospecimen processing and distribution for clinical trials, research initiatives, and biobanking efforts.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the collection, processing, storage, and distribution of biospecimens for clinical trials and research studies.
  • Coordinate the distribution of supplies and manage biospecimen collections across multiple research sites.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and quality control of specimens prior to distribution.
  • Ensure data entry and management in relevant databases.
  • Assist the Lab Supervisor with audits and address queries related to clinical trials and research studies.
  • Support day-to-day operations of the biorepository and assist in training new staff members.
  • Keep staff informed about newly activated clinical trials and research studies.
  • Perform laboratory tasks as needed and contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Manage data entry for monthly billing related to research and clinical studies.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of laboratory supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.

All responsibilities must be performed in accordance with established guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures, and industry standards.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in project coordination, preferably within a research environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with internet applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team setting as well as independently.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:
  • A Master’s degree in a life science or health-related field.
  • Experience in clinical or research laboratory settings.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and a commitment to achieving goals.
