Position Overview:
The NYU Grossman School of Medicine, a prestigious institution in the field of medical education and research, is seeking a Clinical Research Associate Coordinator. This role is pivotal in managing cancer-related clinical research initiatives from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Research Associate Coordinator, you will:
1. Assist in the formulation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to policy revisions, educational initiatives, and quality enhancement projects.
2. Collaborate with licensed healthcare professionals to create and maintain tracking documents for ongoing trials throughout the protocol's duration.
3. Provide timely updates to the research team regarding workflow adjustments or patient-specific requirements based on protocol changes.
4. Schedule participant appointments in accordance with the approved protocol and coordinate with ancillary service providers to ensure patient compliance.

Study Visit Preparation:
Prepare for study visits by:
- Collecting bio-specimens and preparing research tickets.
- Ordering laboratory tests and EKGs, and scheduling necessary biopsies and scans.
- Completing Adverse Event (AE) and Concomitant Medication (Conmed) forms in collaboration with licensed professionals.

Act as the primary contact for all inquiries from study sponsors and participants. Compile and submit weekly pharmacy lists to the investigational pharmacy as required. Assist in reconciling clinical data discrepancies with Research Data Associates (RDAs) and Research Coordinators (RCs).

Follow-Up and Assessment:
Maintain a follow-up calendar to ensure all survival assessments are conducted as per the protocol. You may perform assessments that do not require licensure and assist in pre-screening activities to identify potential clinical trial candidates.

Under the supervision of licensed clinicians, you will:
- Administer ancillary assessments, such as Quality of Life evaluations.
- Participate in the feasibility and complexity assessment for new protocols.
- Help patients understand their assessment schedules and coordinate appointments and ancillary services.

Documentation and Reporting:
Contribute to documentation activities, including AE and Conmed reporting, ensuring all records are verified and signed by licensed clinicians before submission. Write research notes in relevant databases and assist in compiling enrollment packet materials.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong interpersonal, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, with the ability to work under supervision and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in a related field such as science, public health, or health education.
- Professional certification (ACRP CCRC or SOCRA CCRP) is advantageous.
- At least 4 years of experience in research or a related area.
