Position Overview:
As a Client Relationship Manager, your primary focus will be on acquiring new partner accounts while enhancing connections with existing partners by utilizing the Sales Playbook and available resources.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Managers are responsible for managing all phases of the sales process, which includes:

  • Negotiating pricing and terms
  • Implementing marketing and merchandising strategies
  • Managing accounts receivable collections
  • Coordinating in-store promotions and events
  • Educating both budtenders and end-consumers
  • Ensuring efficient order fulfillment

Additionally, you will:

  • Create and implement quarterly market strategies
  • Devote 75% of your time to managing your existing account portfolio
  • Analyze sales patterns and store inventory to guide the purchasing team on optimal product orders, ensuring no stock-outs occur
  • Influence purchasing teams and store advocates to introduce new SKUs
  • Assess promotional needs of stores and execute promotions for maximum ROI
  • Organize events and customer appreciation demonstrations to educate consumers and budtenders
  • Review and enhance online marketing materials to ensure high-quality representation
  • Drive in-store merchandising and marketing opportunities to solidify our position as a leading partner
  • Disseminate the latest media kits to relevant stakeholders

Business Development:
25% of your role will involve seeking new business opportunities and closing deals. Responsibilities include:

  • Prioritizing pipeline meetings to meet saturation targets
  • Creatively addressing challenges and overcoming objections
  • Understanding licenses within your territory to ensure product availability upon store opening
  • Mapping prospects to influence all decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Communicating effectively with assigned accounts regarding invoices and collection timelines
  • Maintaining detailed weekly notes with action plans for overdue accounts, credits, or necessary write-offs
  • Ensuring timely processing of Credit Memos

Administrative Duties:
Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Creating a weekly route based on scheduled meetings and actionable items
  • Utilizing a market plan template to strategically plan sales initiatives quarterly
  • Maintaining a real-time pipeline and updating Salesforce daily
  • Responding promptly to client inquiries
  • Confirming orders and deliveries 48 hours in advance
  • Monitoring competitive activities and reporting insights promptly
  • Collaborating with finance, inventory, and distribution departments daily to ensure effective planning and execution
  • Providing internal feedback on marketing assets, competitors, and innovations

This position may require up to 80% travel within the designated territory. Other duties and responsibilities may evolve or be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales and account management, preferably in the local cannabis or alcohol industry
  • Experience with Salesforce and Business Central is preferred
  • A highly motivated and results-oriented mindset
  • Strong attention to detail, prioritization, time management, and organizational skills
  • Problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability to create and deliver presentations tailored to various audiences
  • All necessary state-required cannabis permits, licenses, and certifications
  • A ServSafe Food Handler's Card is preferred
  • Willingness to undergo a background check, including a motor vehicle report, and possess a valid driver's license
  • Compliance with state regulations requiring applicants to be 21 years of age or older

Mathematical Skills:
Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, are required.

Transportation:
Reliable transportation for daily in-person account visits is essential.
