Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling appointments and outpatient procedures
  • Providing general administrative support for practice operations
  • Answering patient questions and responding to telephone and written inquiries
  • Employing a high level of initiative and independent judgment to make decisions about prioritization and handling of incoming requests

Requirements:

  • Three years of clerical, customer service experience
  • One year of experience with health insurance plans, medical records data, medical terminology, registration, scheduling, or third-party payers
  • Experience with electronic medical record systems preferred

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Skills in active listening, coding, coordination, critical thinking, mathematics, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, reading comprehension, service orientation, speaking, technology/computer, time management, typing speed 30+ WPM, and writing
