About the Role:
The Screening for Life Program Director at Arctic Slope Native Association, Ltd. plays a vital role in managing and overseeing the Screening for Life program. This position is responsible for ensuring seamless care coordination for patient screenings and follow-up care. The director will provide comprehensive data management services, oversee operations, and employees of the SFL program while maintaining compliance with grantor standards and regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor the Screening for Life program to ensure efficient delivery of services.
- Oversee care coordination for patient screenings and follow-up care to ensure timely and effective outcomes.
- Provide comprehensive data management services to support program operations and decision-making.
- Maintain compliance with grantor standards and regulatory agencies.
- Lead and manage a team of employees to achieve program goals and objectives.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- TWO TO FOUR YEARS OF CLINICAL LEADERSHIP, PROGRAM PLANNING, ADMINISTRATION, OR PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
- EXPERIENCE IN GRANT MANAGEMENT; TWO YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN CLINICAL DATA MANAGEMENT PREFERRED
- A CURRENT ALASKA REGISTERED NURSE LICENSE OR ANOTHER US STATE RN LICENSE WITH THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN AK RN LICENSE WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF HIRE PREFERRED
- BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF HIRE
Preferred Qualifications:
- ABILITY TO COORDINATE AND OVERSEE THE COLLABORATIVE PROCESS OF ASSESSMENT, PLANNING, IMPLEMENTATION, AND EVALUATION OF CARE COORDINATION FOR PATIENT SCREENINGS AND FOLLOW UP
- ABILITY TO READ, WRITE, EVALUATE AND ADMINISTER GRANTS, GRANT BUDGETS, WORK PLANS, AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
- ABILITY TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN EFFECTIVE WORKING RELATIONS WITH SSMH, ASNA, AND OTHER OUTSIDE COMMUNITY HEALTH PROGRAMS' STAFF AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL AGENCIES
- ABILITY TO MANAGE A COMPLEX ENVIRONMENT
- ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY; RESPOND PROMPTLY AND EFFECTIVELY TO CHALLENGES
- ABILITY TO INPUT DATA AND MAINTAIN APPLICABLE CLINICAL DATA MANAGEMENT; ABILITY TO GATHER DATA, COMPILING INFORMATION, AND PREPARING REPORTS
- KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY
Working Conditions:
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and frequent change. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and representatives from local, state, and federal agencies.
Educational Requirements:
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
Salary Range:
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
