Position Summary:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing our full-service food and beverage operations, including the restaurant, lounge, poolside service, and in-room dining. Key responsibilities include ensuring seamless service during all meal periods, assisting with staffing adjustments based on occupancy, and working to enhance productivity while managing payroll. The Assistant Manager will also oversee supervisory staff and contribute to the training and development of team members, all while ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing hotel dining outlets, collaborating closely with the Restaurant Manager and other departments.
  • Engage in both short-term and long-term planning for all dining services.
  • Lead and mentor the team to achieve outstanding guest service and employee satisfaction.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote associate engagement.
  • Demonstrate initiative in managing the outlets effectively.
  • Possess knowledge of food and beverage production processes.
  • Understand various wines and spirits and their appropriate service.
  • Utilize a 10-key calculator proficiently.
  • Experience in inventory management and ordering processes.
Qualifications:
  • Must meet minimum age requirements for driving a licensed resort vehicle.
  • Food Handler's Certificate; ServSafe certification preferred.
  • TABC Certificate required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurance requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the food and beverage sector.
  • Basic computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Agilsys is a plus.
Additional Skills:
  • Customer service experience; resort background preferred.
  • Encouragement of OSHA Hazard Communication Standard training.
  • Previous experience in supervisory or management roles is advantageous.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to problem-solve effectively and work collaboratively.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • High standards for personal appearance and hygiene.
