To be considered for the Pest Control Technician position, you must meet the following criteria:
- A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling measurements and product mixing instructions.
- You must maintain the necessary licenses and certifications as mandated by local, state, and federal regulations, and possess a valid driver’s license.
This role involves physical demands, which may include:
- Regularly lifting and moving objects weighing up to 10 lbs and frequently handling weights between 11-20 lbs.
- Engaging in various physical activities, including climbing, balancing, and crawling, while maintaining safety.
- Operating a motor vehicle safely and ensuring the cleanliness of your equipment.
- Performing detail-oriented tasks that require close vision.
- Being comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and working in confined spaces.
The nature of pest control work means you will encounter various environments. We ensure you are equipped with the necessary tools and training to perform your duties safely and effectively.
- You will work in both indoor and outdoor settings, with appropriate weather gear provided.
- Your role may involve exposure to mechanical parts, electrical currents, and chemicals, for which you will receive proper training.
- You will work in proximity to animals and insects, so comfort in such environments is essential.
- Be prepared to navigate tight spaces and confined areas, as this is part of the job.
