Job Overview

ATCS's Construction Services division is seeking skilled professionals to enhance our team in Pennsylvania. We are interested in candidates with experience in construction management and inspection.

We welcome applicants with diverse experience levels, including Inspectors, Trainees, and Senior Inspectors to join our team in the Harrisburg area and its surroundings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections on transportation construction projects, including Highways, Bridges, Environmental, Traffic, and Facilities.
  • Prepare daily progress reports to document project status.
  • Supervise contractor work crews to ensure adherence to contract specifications and safe construction practices.
  • Perform field tests on materials such as concrete slump, soil compaction, and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).
  • Maintain thorough documentation of materials, labor compliance, safety measures, processing estimates, work orders, and necessary adjustments.
  • Communicate on-site activities and daily progress to the Project Engineer through standardized reporting, including calculations for pay quantities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, civil engineering, project management, or materials inspection.
  • Familiarity with PennDOT Road & Bridges specifications and standards.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Proficient in using field engineering and testing equipment, as well as inspection techniques and materials.
  • Ability to obtain required certifications within 12 months of employment, including:
    • PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification
    • NICET Level 2-4 in Transportation & Highway Construction
    • OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certification
    • PennDOT NECEPT Certification
    • ACI Concrete Field – Testing Technician Certification
    • PennDOT Flagger Training or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Proficiency in Site Manager or other project management software.
