Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer to take on a pivotal role in our Mechanicsburg or Pittsburgh offices. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work environment and involves both independent project management and collaborative efforts within larger teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex engineering design initiatives focusing on roadway systems, drainage solutions, and grading under the guidance of project managers.
  • Oversee the preparation of engineering documentation, including drawings and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Engage in project management activities, including design coordination and construction oversight.
  • Facilitate communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to align project objectives and expectations.
  • Participate in the permitting process, coordinating with regulatory agencies to secure necessary approvals.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing training in technical design and company protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, particularly with PennDOT or similar projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Proficient in design software, including Microstation and relevant engineering applications.
  • Strong understanding of project development phases and regulatory requirements.
