Job Summary

Erdman Anthony is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Construction Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our transportation engineering services, you will be responsible for observing and documenting daily Roadway and Bridge construction activities to ensure quality control and compliance with specifications and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Document Construction Activities: Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure that all work is being done in accordance with specifications and regulations.
  • Review and Interpret Contract Specifications: Review and interpret contract and job specifications to ensure that all construction activities are in compliance.
  • Maintain Daily Paperwork: Maintain accurate and detailed records of construction activities, including documentation of any issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • Mathematical Calculations: Perform mathematical calculations to ensure that construction activities are in compliance with specifications.
  • Computer Skills: Possess proficient computer skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail to ensure that all construction activities are in compliance.
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license to travel to project sites.
  • Physical Requirements: Be able to stand for extended periods of time, walk several miles per day, and work in various weather conditions.
Eligibility
  • Experience: Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection, or 4 years of experience in highway or bridge construction.
  • Education: Possess an Associate's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or a Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering field.
  • Certifications: Possess preferred but not required certifications, such as NICET highway construction level II, PennDOT concrete, or NECEPT bituminous.
