ATCS's Construction Services division is actively seeking skilled professionals in Pennsylvania. We invite candidates with experience in construction management and inspection to consider joining our team.
We welcome applicants at various experience levels, including Inspectors, Trainees, and Senior Inspectors, to contribute to our projects in the Harrisburg area and its surroundings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections on transportation construction projects, including highways, bridges, environmental works, traffic systems, and facilities.
- Prepare daily progress reports to document project status.
- Supervise contractor teams to ensure adherence to contract specifications, while interpreting contract documents to confirm safe construction practices and quality outcomes.
- Perform field tests on construction materials, such as concrete slump and air content, soil compaction, and hot mix asphalt.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding materials, labor compliance, safety measures, processing estimates, work orders, and necessary adjustments.
- Communicate on-site activities and daily progress to the Project Engineer through standardized reporting, responsible for calculating and determining pay quantities.
Essential Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, civil engineering, project management, or materials inspection.
- Familiarity with PennDOT Road & Bridges specifications and standards.
- Proficient in mathematics, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Ability to utilize field engineering and testing equipment, along with inspection techniques and materials.
- Possession of or ability to obtain necessary certifications within the first year of employment, including:
- PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification
- NICET Level 2-4 in Transportation & Highway Construction
- OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certification
- PennDOT NECEPT Certification
- ACI Concrete Field – Testing Technician Certification
- PennDOT Flagger Training or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Proficiency in Site Manager or other project management software.
