Job Scope: The Project Manager is a key member of our corporate engineering team, responsible for leading large capital projects and supporting the development of long-range plant project planning, project budgeting, and cost controls. This role requires a strong understanding of project execution procedures, company business standards, and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead large capital plant projects, following front-end loaded project work processes with multiple project phases and developing deliverables over the project lifecycle.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Corporate Engineering teams to develop and maintain a culture emphasizing environmental stewardship, employee health and safety, legal compliance, and community relations.
  • Sustain control of projects by tracking and maintaining discipline performance budget progress, schedule commitments, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management to ensure current testing documentation and participate in insurance company audits, assisting plants with questions and documentation sharing.
  • Develop and/or understand long-term business goals with Supply Chain Planning.
  • Visit assigned plants to discuss business goals and understand operational, environmental, and safety needs.
  • Develop and maintain a 10-year plan, considering return on investment, safety and environmental exposure, logical construction sequencing, rough project cost, and annual cost allowance.
  • Annually review the plan with Supply Chain Planning, track progress, and update the 3-year 'look ahead'.
  • Assist with annual budget requests, working with Supply Chain Planning and plant facility operations to develop budget estimates based on the Long-Range Plan.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Professional Engineering and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) registration is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in heavy industrial/process work and project execution, with a focus on process commercialization from ideation to operational turnover.
  • Knowledge of Hargrove project execution procedures, company business standards, and engineering standards.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in complex project management, leadership, and team orientation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
