IT Director Job Description

iWorld Professionals is seeking a seasoned IT Director to lead our client's technology strategy in Rochester NY. This is an onsite position that requires a strong IT leader to shape the future of technology in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Job Summary:

The IT Director will be responsible for leading the technology strategy, working with a small team of IT professionals to design, implement, and manage IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute an IT strategy that aligns with business objectives and drives innovation.
  • Lead a team of IT professionals to manage day-to-day business systems and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align technology investments with business needs.
  • Manage the IT infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability.
  • Manage IT projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery, within scope, and on budget.
  • Develop and implement security policies to safeguard the organization's data.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors to ensure service level agreements are met.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading an IT department.
  • Minimum 3 years in an IT management or supervisory role with hands-on leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, projects, and vendor relationships effectively.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft technologies (Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server).
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Ability to work on-site in Rochester NY.
