Job Title: Records Manager at Epiq

Overview

The Records Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of records and information management services at Epiq. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with service level agreements while exceeding client expectations. The position is designed to provide exceptional service in the areas of receipt, organization, storage, preservation, destruction, and protection of both client and administrative records. The Records Manager will work in a hybrid capacity, requiring onsite presence a few days each week and occasional travel to various office locations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established protocols for the creation, circulation, storage, tracking, transfer, and destruction of client records.
  • Act as a liaison between Epiq, the client's administration, and the Records Management team.
  • Monitor the circulation of files within the Records Management System (RMS) database.
  • Oversee the Records Staff across diverse geographical areas, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
  • Manage regular inventory processes for files stored at client facilities, including exception reporting.
  • Assist clients with file transfer processes, including obtaining relevant files, preparing file indexes, and staging for review and shipment.
  • Support clients with retention activities, ensuring proper handling of files for secure destruction or storage.
  • Facilitate clean-up initiatives, including triage, categorization, and appropriate storage or disposal of content.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma required; college degree preferred or equivalent experience in Records Management.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in managing a Records Management operation, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Familiarity with various Records Management Systems such as FileTrail, iManage Records Manager, and LegalKey.
  • Experience with Document or Enterprise Content Management Systems like iManage Work and OpenTEXT DM.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in transitioning to electronic records management environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and maintain a standing position as needed.
  • Willingness to travel to office locations as required.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A strategic thinker and collaborative partner.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is between 64,236 and 85,093 USD annually, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus. Actual compensation will be determined based on the individual's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
