Patient Registration Coordinator

About the Role
CoxHealth is seeking a skilled Registration Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assisting patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits. This includes collecting accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collecting patient liability (if known) at the time of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits
- Collect accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collect patient liability (if known) at the time of service
- Complete financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes
- Greet and serve patients and internal team members in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1-2 years prior registration experience
- Computer and keyboarding experience
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with the public and co-workers
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with a large number of people/calls daily and covering urgent requests
- Knowledge of need for confidentiality
- Excellent telephone skills
- CHAA preferred
