Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring complete satisfaction and maintaining communication with event hosts throughout the event.
  • Event Operations: Direct set-up and function flow for events, supervising Porters, Catering Delivery Staff, and wait staff during assigned functions.
  • Staff Management: Assist with the recruitment of service personnel, train and counsel employees, and ensure adherence to guest service standards.
  • Payroll and Logistics: Coordinate payroll tasks for banquet staff members, requisition liquor and other supplies, and assist sales staff with proposed room set-ups.
  • Facilities and Maintenance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, inspect banquet rooms, and communicate urgent repairs to relevant departments.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or its equivalent required.
  • Experience: Up to two years of food and beverage service or related experience required.
  • Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a demonstrated commitment to diversity and cultural sensitivity.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, with knowledge of event software such as Delphi or EMS desired.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hotel/Restaurant Degree: A degree in hotel or restaurant management is highly desirable.
  • International Cuisine Knowledge: Familiarity with international foods, foreign and domestic wine, and upscale banquet service and operations.
