Position Summary

Glatfelter Insurance Group (GIG) is on the lookout for an Associate Operations Support Specialist. This role entails providing operational assistance and administrative support for GIG and our external distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently receives, organizes, scans, prepares, and distributes incoming mail in both physical and electronic formats.
  • Adheres to established procedures for managing original checks, vehicle titles, and other critical documents.
  • Processes outbound mail, correspondence, and other claim-related items promptly and accurately.
  • Handles media requests with efficiency and precision.
  • Provides telephone coverage as needed.
  • Engages in cross-team discussions within Client Service Operations to identify efficiencies and collaborative initiatives.
  • Ensures accurate and efficient processing of assignments within designated areas of responsibility.
  • Maintains the highest standards of customer satisfaction and service for GIG business units and our external distribution network.
  • Safeguards the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One year of experience in insurance systems or relevant transferable experience in a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Basic understanding of insurance company and agency operations.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and capable of meeting strict deadlines.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and directions.
  • Willingness to complete AINS 101 within a designated timeframe.
