Position Summary

Glatfelter Insurance Group (GIG) is on the lookout for an Associate Operations Support Specialist. This role involves providing operational assistance and administrative support to GIG and our external distribution partners.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Efficiently receives, organizes, scans, prepares, and distributes incoming correspondence in both physical and electronic formats.
  • Adheres to established protocols for managing original documents, including checks and vehicle titles.
  • Processes outgoing mail and correspondence promptly and accurately through the appropriate channels.
  • Handles media inquiries with precision and timeliness.
  • Provides telephone coverage support as needed.
  • Engages in cross-departmental discussions within Client Service Operations to identify efficiencies and collaborative initiatives.
  • Ensures accurate and efficient processing of tasks within designated responsibilities and areas of expertise.
  • Maintains the highest standards of customer service for GIG business units and external partners.
  • Safeguards the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in insurance systems or relevant transferable experience in a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Basic understanding of insurance company and agency operations.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and capable of meeting strict deadlines.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and directions.
  • Willingness to complete AINS 101 within a specified timeframe.
