Production Manager, Memorial Hall/Lowell Hall Complex

The Production Manager is responsible for the safe and appropriate event, performance, and rehearsal use of the venues within the Memorial Hall/Lowell Hall Complex. This position participates in event planning, oversees house management, and venues' theatrical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Meet with building users to plan events, advising on full, safe, and appropriate use of the venues
- Reviews and approves the technical scope, feasibility, and timeline for proposed events
- Prepares or approves CAD drawings for event-specific room arrangements
- Participates in the planning and logistical oversight of Commencement/Reunions activity in the Complex
- Plans and supervises the logistical and technical aspects of special events in the complex
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in production management
- Experience with direct supervision
- Ability to lead a team with strong supervisory skills
- Experience operating and maintaining theatrical lighting, sound, video, and basic rigging equipment required
- Ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and staff from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in event planning and execution preferred
- Knowledge of entertainment/technical theater industry standard, local, state, and national crowd control and technical theater safety codes and applications
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and computer-aided drafting software required
This position is based primarily on-campus, in Massachusetts. This may include in-person during emergency situations (if applicable). Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. Certain visa types may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
