Job Summary

The Production Manager is a key member of the Memorial Hall/Lowell Hall Complex team, responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of the venues within the complex. This includes event planning, house management, and technical oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with building users to plan events and advise on the use of the venues
  • Review and approve technical scope, feasibility, and timeline for proposed events
  • Prepare or approve CAD drawings for event-specific room arrangements
  • Participate in the planning and logistical oversight of Commencement/Reunions activity in the Complex
  • Plan and supervise the logistical and technical aspects of special events in the complex
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in production management
  • Experience with direct supervision
  • Ability to lead a team with strong supervisory skills
  • Experience operating and maintaining theatrical lighting, sound, video, and basic rigging equipment
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and staff from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in event planning and execution preferred
  • Knowledge of entertainment/technical theater industry standard, local, state, and national crowd control and technical theater safety codes and applications
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and computer-aided drafting software
