Job Summary

Bard Manufacturing Company, a leading player in the HVAC sector, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team in Madison, GA.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks, including:

  • Troubleshooting and repairing equipment using hand or power tools
  • Repairing or replacing worn or defective parts
  • Adjusting functional parts for optimal performance and clearances
  • Testing equipment performance
  • Installing power wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment
  • Diagnosing failed equipment such as motors, wiring, PLC, I/O modules, and power supplies
  • Repairing and replacing failed electrical equipment such as motors, wiring, PLC modules, and power supplies
  • Using meters and electrical test equipment to troubleshoot problems
  • Troubleshooting and programming AC and DC drive systems
  • Performing preventative maintenance on machines in compliance with regulations
  • Following all safety rules and procedures
  • Maintaining good housekeeping levels in the Maintenance department/work area
  • Performing activities in accordance with work instructions
  • Operating sensors, measuring devices, and hand tools to optimize product quality
  • Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
  • Offering suggestions for continuous improvement
  • Supporting production needs through scheduled work time
  • Participating in team problem-solving efforts

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Industrial Electricity or equivalent certification program; plus 5+ years' experience in manufacturing and facilities maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read wiring schematics and diagrams, determining material and replacement needs
  • Competency in sizing and wiring electrical circuits
  • Knowledge of power transmissions and components
  • Skills in defining problems, collecting data, and drawing conclusions
  • Proficiency with power tools, welding equipment, and troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Proficiency in PC skills
  • Successful completion of an aptitude test
