About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer, Facilities to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for leading the management of facility projects, generating and analyzing technical requirements, and exercising technical authority for the design, planning, and completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead the management of facility projects, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Technical Authority: Exercise technical authority for the design, planning, and completion of projects, ensuring compliance with engineering principles, Lockheed Martin standards, and customer contract requirements.
  • Requirements Analysis: Generate and analyze technical requirements, translating them into design specifications and cost estimates.
  • Design and Planning: Develop and review engineering data packages, including requirement documents, drawings, specifications, testing and acceptance criteria/procedures, and cost estimates.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with internal and external customers and partners on the planning of activities to ensure production needs are addressed with minimum schedule impacts.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science from an accredited college in Civil Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience: Experience in the design of civil/structural engineering projects, including management and implementation of facility/engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Clearance: Interim Secret clearance required prior to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Cannot be a dual citizen.
Desired Skills
  • Facilities Management: Experience in design, management, and implementation of facility/engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Technical Authority: Familiarity with the MILCON process and experience exercising technical authority for the design, planning, and completion of projects.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Proven experience creating work products for design, inspection, and testing activities, and coordinating/ resolving technical issues across multiple teams/customers.
  • Professional Registration: Professional registration or licensure – current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE).
