About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager, Facilities to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for leading the management of facility projects with cost, technical, and schedule authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the management of facility projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and review engineering data packages, including requirement documents, drawings, specifications, testing and acceptance criteria/procedures, and cost estimates.
  • Plan and formulate engineering program reviews, product design for compliance with engineering principles and Lockheed Martin standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
  • Evaluate and approve proposal inquiries, design changes, specification documents, and drawing releases.
  • Coordinate and participate in activities concerned with technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external customers and partners on the planning of activities to ensure production needs are addressed with minimum schedule impacts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited college in Civil Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience in the design of civil/structural (building, roads, civil site plans) engineering projects.
  • Interim Secret clearance required prior to start. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Cannot be a dual citizen.
Desired Skills
  • Experience in design, management, and implementation of facility/engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Facilitating design reviews with and understanding of the adjudication and verification processes.
  • Familiarity with the MILCON process.
  • Experience on a missile related defense program, working directly with customer counterparts to resolve technical issues.
  • Experience preparing/reviewing the following facility engineering products: Statements of Work, Facility Design Criteria, Specification documents, and construction cost estimates.
  • General knowledge and understanding of related codes/standards. e.g.; Unified Facility Criteria, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and AASHTO.
  • Excellent computer utilization skills (AutoCAD, REVIT, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proven experience creating work products for design, inspection and testing activities.
  • Experience integrating systems or equipment into existing process or space.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate/resolve technical issues across multiple teams/customers.
  • Understanding of the A&E design process and providing oversight of engineering design packages.
  • Professional registration or licensure - current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Project Management and/or Construction Management experience in commercial, industrial, government, military or DoD facilities.
