Position Overview

Role: Multimedia Technician

As a Multimedia Technician, you will collaborate with your colleagues to deliver exceptional audio/visual support services. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with technical needs in various conference rooms equipped with advanced audiovisual technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive audio/visual and collaborative technology support, addressing requests for assistance via various communication channels.
  • Conduct thorough preparations and testing of equipment prior to events to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot A/V devices, control systems, and related equipment in diverse settings.
  • Log, prioritize, and track support requests using a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Simulate technical issues to identify and rectify operational challenges.
  • Escalate complex problems to appropriate teams while collaborating on solutions.
  • Document incidents and resolutions to enhance internal knowledge bases.
  • Set up and dismantle A/V equipment efficiently, ensuring proper configuration for events.
  • Deliver basic training and guidance to staff on A/V equipment usage.
  • Maintain and update internal support documentation and client help resources.
  • Perform routine checks on conference room equipment to ensure readiness for use.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks, including bulb and battery replacements, and cleaning of A/V equipment.
  • Provide insights on equipment upgrades and replacements as necessary.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing on presentation systems and virtual conferencing software.
  • Stay informed about the latest A/V technologies and industry practices.
Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective interactions with diverse personnel.
  • Proficient in time management and prioritization to meet project deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and positive attitude, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with PC and networking environments.
  • Ability to set up, transport, and manage A/V equipment safely.
  • Physical capability to work at heights and lift heavy equipment as required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Crestron Flex video conferencing systems.
