The Youth Engagement Associate I plays a crucial role in guiding and overseeing participants in the Child Watch program, which includes special events like Parents Night Out.

This position involves direct interaction with both children and their parents.

Responsibilities:


Facilitates daily activities (or Parents Night Out) ensuring children have a variety of engaging options, focusing on movement, arts, imaginative play, reading, and more.

Delivers outstanding customer service.

Ensures participant safety through check-in/check-out procedures, managing sick children, addressing discipline issues, and overseeing activities.

Maintains positive relationships with members, participants, and colleagues at all times.

Assists in various areas of YMCA operations as directed by management.

Adheres to policies regarding boundaries with participants.

Completes required training on abuse risk management.

Follows procedures for managing high-risk activities and supervising participants.

Complies with mandated reporting requirements.

Meets job-specific responsibilities related to abuse risk management.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age.

Minimum of 6 months experience working with children and in customer service roles.

Must complete New Staff Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogen training, and CPR/First Aid certification within the first 30 days of employment.
