Front Desk Agent

Position SummaryAs a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, anticipating needs, and creating personalized experiences. This is a full-time position requiring open availability, weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with a schedule that may change weekly.
Key Responsibilities- Greet guests warmly, register them, and provide room keys while adhering to brand standards and company policies.
- Input and retrieve guest and staff communications, update guest profiles, and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
- Confirm booking information, including guest count and room rate, and membership status in the brand's rewards program.
- Maintain knowledge of room types, available amenities, room availability, and rates, as well as guest upgrade options.
- Ensure all charges are posted to guest accounts, compute bills, collect payments, and make change for requests.
- Assist AYS operators by answering phone calls, actively listening, confirming requests, and responding with appropriate action or information.
- Address guest challenges professionally to resolve problems to completion, posting to computer and following up with other departments and guests to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in front desk agent, guest services, or similar service role, preferably with a full-service hotel.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with ability to multitask, adapt, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to initiate and organize tasks independently.
- Ability to remain in a standing position for 8-hour shifts, with capacity to lift and carry up to 15 lbs regularly.
- Familiarity with property management software, such as PMS or OPERA, is preferred.
