Key Responsibilities:

As a Front Desk Agent, your duties will include:

  • Welcoming guests and managing room assignments.
  • Issuing room keys and providing necessary instructions.
  • Handling incoming correspondence and tracking messages.
  • Facilitating communication through various channels.
  • Responding to guest inquiries regarding hotel amenities, check-in procedures, and local attractions.
  • Maintaining accurate records of room availability and pricing.
  • Processing guest bills, collecting payments, and providing change as needed.
  • Managing reservations through multiple communication methods.
  • Posting charges to guest accounts when necessary.
  • Arranging transportation and entertainment bookings for guests.
  • Safeguarding guest valuables in the hotel safe.
  • Utilizing office software effectively.
  • Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of nightly operations, including audits.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Familiarity with the Opera property management system is advantageous.
  • Strong command of the English language for effective communication.
  • Attention to detail in reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to assist with various administrative tasks as required.
  • Willingness to participate in mandatory meetings.
  • Commitment to completing projects with professionalism and thoroughness.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and adapt to change.
  • Dedication to personal and professional development.
  • Strong mathematical and computer skills.
  • Relevant experience and education are preferred.
  • CPR and first aid certification are a plus.
