Position Summary
The role of the Annealing and Pickling 1 Entry/Welder Operator is a hands-on position focused on the operation of machinery essential for the finishing process of stainless steel coils. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift weights up to 50 pounds within the production environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Review the production schedule to confirm the correct coil is prepared for processing.
- Feed coils into the shearing equipment, remove leader strips, and prepare scrap materials to the appropriate specifications.
- Execute the welding of coils to ensure continuity in production, maintaining efficiency to prevent delays in the line speed.
- Conduct inspections of incoming coils at various points and document findings in the AS400 system.
- Communicate the status of coils in production and monitor for any defects.
- Oversee the alignment of coils in the production line and make necessary adjustments.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks as required.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in reading and speaking English.
- Ability to pass a drug screening, physical examination, and background verification.
- Capability to stand and walk for extended durations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good vision, with or without corrective lenses.
- Willingness to work on a rotating shift schedule.
Education and Experience
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
