Role Summary

In the capacity of a Crane Operator, you will engage in the practical operation of an overhead crane to manage, position, and transfer loads efficiently. This position requires the use of hand controls while navigating the operational area to oversee crane activities. Candidates must be prepared to stand and walk for prolonged periods and occasionally lift weights up to 25 pounds within the facility.

Core Responsibilities
  • Operating various overhead cranes to transport a variety of products, including coils
  • Conducting comprehensive inspections of cranes to ensure safety and optimal functionality, including routine maintenance tasks
  • Effectively prioritizing and organizing production line needs
  • Utilizing various below-the-hook lifting devices for improved lifting and transportation of specific products
  • Operating non-assigned cranes as needed to address operational requirements
  • Exhibiting proficiency in Work Instructions and Job Safety Analyses provided to Crane Operators
  • Employing computer systems for tasks such as training, record-keeping, and incident documentation
  • Completing other assigned responsibilities as necessary
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Successful completion of drug screenings, physical examinations, and background investigations
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended durations, along with lifting up to 25 pounds
Education and Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required for this position
