Job Summary

The Slitter Exit Operator is a critical role within our production team at North American Stainless. As a hands-on professional, you will be responsible for operating equipment to roll stainless steel coils with precision and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery to roll stainless steel coils in preparation for shipping and distribution.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed while working on the slitter line.
  • Thread the steel strip to the tension reel and insert cardboard cores and interleaving paper as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping functions to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs designed for Finishing Lines and contribute to 6S initiatives.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and speak English fluently.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day and lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Pass a drug test, physical examination, and background check.
