Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold a professional demeanor while providing outstanding service to patients, visitors, healthcare professionals, and team members, adhering to our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
  • Manage server operations, including strategic planning for user growth and hardware requirements. Continuously monitor server performance and utilization, offering support for server technologies such as Windows, VMWare, Unix/Linux, and Citrix.
  • Oversee application management utilizing tools like Configuration Manager and Endpoint Manager for effective deployment of applications and updates. Enhance application virtualization technologies, including Citrix, VMWare VApps, and MSIX.
  • Administer and support database systems by monitoring performance, resolving integrity issues, and ensuring optimal DB server functionality. Guarantee Point-In-Time recoverability and proficiency with SQL utilities like Profiler and Trace.
  • Design, maintain, and support cloud-based server and application solutions.
  • Ensure consistent maintenance and updates of all technology security protocols.
  • Develop and document backup and recovery procedures, as well as design and test disaster recovery strategies.
  • Act as an IT liaison across departments, addressing end-user requirements for both new and existing solutions. Propose enhancements to improve user accessibility and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with change control, security, and risk assessment policies.
  • Participate in a third-level call rotation and undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications/Training:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a complex virtual server environment managing over 500 servers, including Windows, Linux, SQL, Citrix, and Web Servers.
  • Experience with cloud technologies is essential.
  • Expertise in contemporary backup and recovery methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Storage Area Network (SAN) equipment and configurations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft patching processes and security enhancements for servers and applications.
  • Experience with Linux and container-based applications.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. Equivalent experience may be considered.
