This position will be full-time contract and hybrid.   What You’ll Do Request and collect records for local and state-level fatality review teams, including medical records, death investigation records, Prescription Drug Monitoring Program records, educational records, and law enforcement records, on a weekly basisRead and summarize case information to create slide decks for fatality review meetings on a weekly basisFacilitate virtual and in-person local Suicide and Overdose Fatality Review Team meetings, in accordance with best practices, as applicableUtilize Microsoft Excel to track and organize record requests and track case review progressEnter case information into the national database on a weekly basisCommunicate with local team coordinators about team successes, challenges, and needsProvide local team coordinators with information necessary for review meetingsAssist in writing grant applications and reports for the ProgramEstablish high level collaborative relationships with local stakeholders that could include county health departments, minority health coalitions, and other public and non-profit agencies and community partnersCollaborate with team members and participate in statewide reviews, when applicable.Provide training and guidance to local teams to ensure best practice in case ascertainment, case review, and data collectionAttend local review meetingsProvide guidance on effective team development, including mandatory membersTrain local team coordinators in data collection and data entry into statewide data repositoryEnsure high level of confidentiality is maintainedAnticipate and respond to team technical assistance needsAssist the Program Manager in overseeing reporting requirements from local teamsMaintain and update all records collected for case review, as necessaryAssist local teams in case ascertainment and initiation, as necessaryMaintain database of completed casesCommunicate daily with local to obtain case information, as necessaryContact proper departments to obtain supplemental reportsFacilitate collaboration between local teams and local strategic planning effortsAct as a liaison between local teams and resources aimed at lessening the burden of overdose and injury/death in their communityMaintain knowledge of up-to-date recommendations, resourcesAggregate recommendations from local teams and share with stakeholders and Program Manager at the state levelCommunicate local team status and needs to Program ManagerPerform other duties as assigned What You'll Need  Required: Bachelor’s degree Knowledge of the organization and function of state and local health agenciesAbility to communicate complex public health theories and principles, both orally and in writingAbility to coordinate and maintain effective working relationships with other program stakeholders in both the private and public sectorsAbility to evaluate and interpret dataDemonstrated time-management skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently to complete tasksDemonstrated ability to coordinate with a team for joint projectsDemonstrated experience with managing multiple ongoing projects while successfully completing work assignmentsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office PowerPoint; Word; Excel; Publisher or Access  Physical Demands  Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor Reasonable Accommodation StatementIf you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 – 8111.Equal Employment Opportunity Policy StatementIt is the policy of CAI not to discriminate against any employee or applicant due to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, disability or being a protected veteran.
