Human Resources DirectorWe are seeking a Human Resources Director for our Beef Plant in Greeley, CO which employs approximately 3,700 team members. Purpose & Scope:Responsible for the management and oversight of multiple Human Resource functions including, but not limited to: Employee and Labor Relations, Payroll, Employment, Training and Development, Health Services, and Compliance. Duties include assuring compliance with such agencies as; USCIS, NLRB, OSHA, EEOC, OFCCP, as well as related internal policies, practices and Collective Bargaining Agreement. Manage and direct the human resource activities and strategies through local HR staff.Responsibilities:Provide technical support for operations management and HR staffOversee and direct all administrative activities, e.g., record keeping, policy administration/compliance, etc.Oversee the recruiting and staffing functionsOversee health services and direct involvement in safety, health, ergonomics, and Workers
CompensationOversee and direct plant payroll functionsOversight of community relations programs as well as diversity outreach programsOversee and direct the career development and training activities for all employees of the facilityAssess, understand, and focus on human resources details/data (e.g., staffing, application flow, turnover, Workers
Compensation, safety, etc.) and develop, implement playbook, action plans, and best practices to positively impact such functionsUse Process Mapping and Continuous Improvement practices to better understand a process and eliminate waste/bottlenecksRepresents plant management concerning Labor Relations, EEOC, and legal litigation activityEstablishes and maintains employee relationsEstablishes and maintains labor relationsDirect the facility s EEO and AAP activitiesUnder the guidelines issued by the corporate offices administer compensation, benefits, human resource development, training, and performance management programsProvide counsel to managers that will promote employee relationsActs as HR liaison with operating facilities and the corporate officeBe a strategic partner/align with General Manager and other upper management personnel in the facilityRequirements:Bachelor s degree preferred, Master s degree and PHR/SPHR certification beneficial but not required5-10 years in HR required progressive HR generalist experience within food industryUnion and Non-Union ExperienceStrong understanding of all HR related functions to include, but not limited to: Staffing and Retention Strategies, Labor Relations, Collective Bargaining Agreement/Company Policy interpretation and enforcement, Compliance (AAP, I-9, Payroll, Leaves of Absence, etc.), Workers
Compensation, Case Management, Health Services, Team Member and Community RelationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsComputer knowledgeExcellent interpersonal skills; ability to handle conflictUphold and Champion Company Values: Determination, Discipline, Ownership, Simplicity, Sincerity, Humility, and AvailabilitySupervision of Personnel:Manages: HR Manager/Supervisor, Employment Manager, Labor Relations Manager, Training Managers, Health Services Manager and Payroll Supervisor.Reports to:Head of Human Resources
