This position requires the ability to supervise and coordinate activities of professional level and administrative support for employees engaged in employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, employment, labor relations, affirmative action and employment equity programs, and/or personnel research. The person in this position is also responsible for managing labor relations with local union, administration of the collective bargaining agreement and the grievance process and creating an engaged and team-oriented workforce in order to improve business results. Principle Responsibilities: Supervises the day-to-day administration of personnel policies and practicesOversees and assigns employee trainings and orientation programsOversees the administration of compensations and benefits programs at the location to ensure these programs are in line with corporate programsRecommends program changes or enhancements to meet human resource requirementsCoordinates the delivery of effective affirmative action, and other employee relations programs; such as recognition and appreciation.
