JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition Title:HR Supervisor Department:Human ResourcesLocation:Greeley, CO Value Added PlantSalary Class:ExemptPurpose & Scope: Our company is in search of an HR Supervisor. This position requires the ability to supervise and coordinate activities of professional level and administrative support for employees engaged in employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, employment, labor relations, affirmative action and employment equity programs, and/or personnel research. The person in this position is also responsible for managing labor relations with local union, administration of the collective bargaining agreement and the grievance process and creating an engaged and team-oriented workforce in order to improve business results.Principle Responsibilities: Supervises the day-to-day administration of personnel policies and practicesOversees and assigns employee trainings and orientation programsOversees the administration of compensations and benefits programs at the location to ensure these programs are in line with corporate programsRecommends program changes or enhancements to meet human resource requirementsCoordinates the delivery of effective affirmative action, and other employee relations programs; such as recognition and appreciation. Manage Payroll Process & mitigate payroll errorsManage HR systems accuracy (Kronos timecards/attn. entries, Attendance percent s, SAP entry, Kronos task code updates)Manage Floor Trainer (PIT/LOTO, JSA s, employee evaluations, etc.)Assists with the preparation of separation notices for employees separating with cause and may conduct exit interviews to determine reason behind separationsMay represent company at personnel-related hearings Will represent company in any HR/Safety investigationsOwner of Hiring Process
Jobvite, applications, employment forms, change forms and other confidential forms and records.Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.Ensures regulatory compliance with ADA, FMLA, EEOC, etc. Be able to complete Unemployment ClaimsCompliance (familiarity with Company Policy, Union Contract, State Law, Federal Law & how they intersect)Stays current on recent federal, state and case law changes and monitors labor law updates for changes that affect HRParticipate in strategic HR related to Turnover, Development, Retention, Conflict Management. HR KPIs, etc.Audit: complete regular internal audits with HRMRecognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organizationIn-depth working knowledge of Employment Laws/Regulations and Human Resources policies and proceduresConsiderable skill in problem solving, conflict resolution, and dealing with confidential information/situationsWorking knowledge of benefits administration and management practicesBasic understanding of Training Program and further development of team membersOther duties assignedQualifications:Supervisory skills; good interpersonal relations; ability to handle conflict.Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to lead a group Manage individual employee objectives as well as team performance and building a team approach to problem solvingExcellent verbal and written communication skillsComputer skillsRequirements:Education: Typically requires a Bachelor s degree in a related field; however, additional related work experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement. Minimum high school diploma or equivalency requiredExperience: 1-2 years
previous supervisor experience in a HR environment; Previous experience in food manufacturing preferred. Experience with Hiring & Immigration Compliance preferredExperience with FMLA & ADA preferredExperience with SAP & Kronos preferredBilingual preferred; English & SpanishWorking Conditions: Fast paced environmentExposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knivesSlippery floors, extreme temperatures and loud noisesAbility to stand and walk for long periods of timeSchedule M-F and weekends when needed The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule; Base salary range of $58-70k and;This position is eligible to participate in the Company s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; The Company is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our team members and visitors.
