Nokia Sustainable Energy Market is seeking a Business Development Representative/Sales Rep to lead sales activities in the US to grow our nascent business in a multi-segmented industry. We are seeking a self-starter with a track of record of building a SaaS pipeline across commercial, industrial and power utility enterprises. We expect our perfect candidate to independently identify and prospect new opportunities and follow through with stellar relationship building and account management with an entrepreneurial mindset, customer first consultative actions and not afraid to engage at all levels across t the industry. Your goal will be to grow a solid and sustainable sales pipeline for Nokia SEM and lead the end-to-end sales process including identification and sourcing of prospects (collaborative with commercial team), deal qualification, undertaking demos and contract signing (in conjunction with the General Manager). If you are ambitious, team player, passionate about sustainability, and understand how digital technology will revolutionize the power industry we want to work with you.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, source and qualify potential customers, then close sales deals
  • Work with team members and current pipeline to build account strategies
  • Nurture prospective accounts including following up on marketing, webinar and event leads; Setup meetings with prospects and use consultative selling to influence their decision making
  • Attend trade shows, conferences to generate qualified leads
  • Own sales operations activities including maintaining customer database and deal documentation; provide opportunity and sales forecast reporting as needed
  • Work closely with customer operations, marketing, product and general manager to ensure voice of the customer (and industry) is heard internally
Required Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated success in SaaS business development
  • 5+ years of experience Power utility (IOU, Co-op, Muni) operational energy industry sales required
  • 4-year degree, preferably in a technical field
  • Knowledge and understanding of DERs, Demand Response, EV trends, and initiatives as they apply to utilities in the US strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of power markets, DERMs, software products preferred
  • Excellent communication, analytical and strategic thinking, strong customer-facing, sales & marketing and presentation skills; ability to craft personalized and detailed emails
  • Able to travel as required including trade show attendance and sometimes internationally
