Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Foster customer relationships in a team-based selling model.
  • Manage deliveries and troubleshoot order process issues.
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable.
  • Develop new business and identify prospective customers.
  • Stay informed about market conditions and competitor products.
  • Drive to customers and prospects for product delivery.

Supervision:

  • No direct reports.

Relationships:

  • Internal: District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, Merchandising and Marketing, Operations, and Customer Contact.
  • External: Customers, vendors, prospective customers.

Work Environment:

  • Frequently outside the office environment working in the field visiting customers in variable weather and temperature conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ year sales experience preferred; foodservice industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships, cold call, and develop new business.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Competitive and results-driven mentality.
  • Problem-solving, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, experience using CRM tools preferred.

Education:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.

Certifications/Training:

  • N/A.

Physical Qualifications:

  • Must be able to perform physical activities including standing, walking, driving, sitting, lifting, carrying, stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, grasping objects, and manipulating objects.

Compensation:

Base rate between $50,000.00 and $80,000.00, plus incentive compensation and benefits including health insurance, retirement, paid time off, and more.
