Price Engineering's Automation Sales Group is focused on electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical components needed to build new machines and support existing MRO business. We continue to grow and develop our customer base by having strong and long-tended relationships with our suppliers; we've had relationships with some of our vendors for over 50+ years. Our suppliers are leading the industry by being innovative and releasing new Automation solutions that we introduce to the Wisconsin market.

This role will focus on territory coverage within Brown, Manitowoc, Calumet, Fond du Lac, Winnebago, Waupaca, Outagamie, Shawano, Oconto, and Upper Michigan. Main business is in Fond du Lac, Fox Valley (Appleton, Green Bay, Neenah), and Manistique, MI.

As an Account Manager with Price Engineering, you will develop and autonomously manage your sales activities within a specified territory. Along with the skills set outlined below, your ability to be sought out as an expert to provide your customers solutions to their operational needs will be integral in achieving your critical objectives of maintaining and capturing new business.

Essential Functions

    • Work with your leadership to create a sales plan to develop a prospect list to capture new business
    • Full cycle prospecting activities including qualification of leads, cold calls, and sales presentations
    • Collaborate with knowledgeable customer service and technical support teams who will assist you in meeting and exceeding your sales goals
    • Utilization of tools, resources and CRM to plan and manage time and territory
Experience, Education, and Skills
    • Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing, or Engineering or a 2-year technical degree, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or any suitable combination of education, training, and work experience.
    • 3+ years industrial or technical sales experience with at least 2 years in automation system and component sales
    • Application and troubleshooting experience with automation/pneumatic products and systems: knowledge in Fluid Power a plus, but not required
    • Ability to manage territory and projected sales achievement through strong planning and time management skills
    • Experience with value add sales
    • Ability to establish and maintain business relationships
    • Experience using a CRM, logging projects, and tracking progress of active opportunities is preferred
    • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and Word; ability to learn other software systems such as a CRM, expense reporting, and similar
    • Competitive, entrepreneurial spirit and driven to succeed
    • Can achieve and exceed sales goals
    • Valid drivers license
Having a background in selling/supporting customers on one or more of the products below is a plus, but not required
