Position Specific Summary
International Student Ambassadors work with the members of the International
Recruitment Team to expand and advance all public contact functions for international
students in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Our ambassadors strive to create a
welcoming environment for prospective students, families, alumni and other GW
stakeholders. While maintaining the highest standards of service, International Student
Ambassadors answer phone calls, e-mails and walk-in questions about the
undergraduate admission process, academic programs, enrollment, campus life and the
student experience and questions pertaining specifically to the international application
process. Our ambassadors also process admission application documents and may
work on other special projects as assigned.
Standard Position Description
The student will supplement the goals of the department/program by facilitating connections between the department/program and other individuals and groups. Tasks may include: representing the department/program at a variety of functions such as events across campus and in the wider community, giving tours or presentations for the department/program, and/or offer peer-to-peer guidance on a group or individual basis. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.
