GW IT Security Risk and Assurance team proactively reviews third-party vendor engagements to identify, communicate, and remediate cybersecurity risk in collaboration with university departments. The team also creates presentations and visualizations, web and knowledge base content, and delivers webinars and events to promote cybersecurity across campus.

Position Specific Summary

GW IT Security is seeking experienced, and motivated students who are willing to apply learning to supervised cybersecurity risk management activities including vendor risk management assessments, risk reporting and visualizations, cyber awareness material development, and direct outreach.

Standard Position Description

The student will provide advanced technical and/or computer support assistance. Tasks may include: maintaining and operating technical systems, hardware, and network configuration, planning and coordinating projects and workshops for the department, building and managing websites, assisting with prioritization and completion of daily operations, participating in the hiring, training, and supervision of other student employees. Special projects or other duties may be assigned related to specific departmental needs.
